Flowplayer is an excellent flash media player, capable of playing video and audio. It comes with it’s own playlist system, but it’s very limited.

This article details how to create a custom playlist system for Flowplayer using jQuery and Flowplayer’s javascript API. This system will allow you to manipulate playlist items without interrupting current playback and adds several functions not available in the Flowplayer JS API.

    this is great. thanks. it would be great if you could make a tarball available for download. eventually, i figured it out – but only after playing with the flowplayer for a day and being similarly frustrated about the absence of removeClip in their java API. to those who are close to giving up on this tutorial: keep going. it’s worth it! thanks, micz

    I was thinking about making a completed demo/example page.
    (The site where I currently have this implemented is private/friends-only.)
    I’ll try to get one up this weekend so those looking for help can see it in action.
